Be anywhere without actually being there

We've all had days where a friend or loved one suggests you go somewhere, but you just cannot be bothered. Well for the princely sum of $1,999, Double Robotics have come up with the solution to the needs of the bone idle with their 'Double' robot. To put it bluntly:

Double is the simplest, most elegant way to be somewhere else in the world

Now you can visit galleries from the comfort of your armchair, take a stroll in the park without leaving your bed, even go to the cinema without leaving the privacy of your toilet seat.

Clearly this gadget has far more potential than simply catering to the needs of slothful people (the ability to attend meetings anywhere in the world being an obvious one), but it wouldn't have been as amusing to focus on that.

Though currently out of stock, the Double is due to start shipping again in early 2013 - so head over and place your preorder!
