We worked with the talented people at The Writer to develop a responsive site that celebrates the written word.
Adding user commenting, poll functionality, feature panels and a prominent email sign-up section all helped to boost user engagement and encourage return visits.
As you’d expect, The Writer already had plenty of useful content up their sleeves (the clue’s in the name). So we focused on creating a design that brought this content together seamlessly.
To reflect the company’s personality and wealth of expertise, we spiced up the style guide with bespoke illustrations. This, alongside a page showing The Writer's team each holding their favourite words, gave the site a strong identity.
We also developed the ‘second brain’ feature (the coloured underlines seen on this page). This gives an insight into The Writer's thought process and emphasises their collaborative approach to writing.
And, crucially, a robust content management system means The Writer can update the website easily – ensuring returning users are greeted with fresh and interesting content.
